“i had a new house and wanted a new look – but no idea where to start. the problem was i know what i don’t like, no idea what i do like, i’m busy and i need practical – oh and i hate ‘matchy-matchy’ and cushions!!
i found concept design colour finish by good luck – and boy was it good luck. i am diligent and checked out places but was relying on getting a good relationship and feeling from a consultant who could understand me and then give me guidance and ideas.
i called mandy and she immediately was friendly and listened, she gave me a direct response to the services she could provide, suggested i send her a few pictures of some things i wanted to keep (or liked), and then she came out and chatted, she listened to my needs (a young grandchild, storage, occasional work from home, etc.) and turned it into a plan.
she grasped my style straight away (even though I did not know it). she delivered a plan and i loved most of it – when i didn’t like it she listened and gave options to better suit (but that was not too often).
mandy is a delight to deal with, has a wonderful eye for colour and style, and delivered the most beautiful unit that is the envy of all my friends. yes, there is an odd cushion – but she is right it just set’s off the couch perfectly.

the preliminary design was completed within a few weeks and i pretty much loved everything that was presented at the meeting. once i agreed on all the finishes they finalised the design within the week.

“after spending 12 tiring months travelling around different stores for different materials, colours and finishes we gave up. the plethora of materials was simply overwhelming and spending precious weekend time on search missions throughout melbourne was not our thing.
